Broad-market exchange-traded fund IWM declined, while IVV gained Monday afternoon. Actively traded Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) was up 0.1%.
US equity indexes were mixed, with a surge in Tesla (TSLA) shares lifting consumer discretionary, while talk of rate cuts and strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities by the United States pushed government bond yields sharply lower.
Energy
iShares US Energy ETF (IYE) and the Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE) each fell about 1.5%.
Technology
Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) rose 0.2%; iShares US Technology ETF (IYW) and iShares Expanded Tech Sector ETF (IGM) were mixed, with the latter edging lower.
SPDR S&P Semiconductor (XSD) lost 1.4%, and iShares Semiconductor (SOXX) eased 0.6%.
Financial
Financial Select Sector SPDR (XLF) was 0.3% lower. Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) edged down 1.2%, and its bearish counterpart, Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ), added 1.2%.
Commodities
Crude oil lost 2.2%, and the United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 2.5%. Natural gas dropped 3.5%, and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was nearly 4% lower.
Gold rose 0.5% on Comex, and SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) gained 0.7%. Silver was 0.5% up, and iShares Silver Trust (SLV) added 0.6%.
Consumer
Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR (XLP) rose 0.1%; Vanguard Consumer Staples ETF (VDC) was up, while the iShares Dow Jones US Consumer Goods (IYK) was lower.
Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR (XLY) was up 1%; VanEck Retail ETF (RTH) was 0.7% higher, and SPDR S&P Retail (XRT) fell 1.1%.
Health Care
Health Care Select Sector SPDR (XLV) was down 0.6%. iShares US Healthcare (IYH) and Vanguard Health Care ETF (VHT) fell. iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) dipped 1.2%.
Industrial
Industrial Select Sector SPDR (XLI) was 0.2% down. Vanguard Industrials (VIS) and iShares US Industrials (IYJ) were mixed, with the latter edging up slightly.
