Later this week, GDP growth data for the first quarter of the year will be released.
Investors also await personal spending data later this week, which is the Federal Reserves favorite inflation gauge.
On trading, Dow Jones fell 0.4%, or 159 points as of 17:05 GMT to 38,910, while SP 500 rose 0.1%, or 4 points to 5,309, as NASDAQ added 0.5%, or 90 points to 17,011.
