French and Benelux stocks-Factors to watch
Apr 24, 2024 11:07 PM

April 25 (Reuters) - Below are company-related news and

stories from France and Benelux which could have an impact on

the region's markets or individual stocks.

ATOS

Struggling French IT consulting firm on Thursday said a

review of its 2024-2027 business plan would lead

to an increased need for cash and potentially additional

debt reduction

, forcing it to update the parameters of its refinancing

plan in the coming days.

BNP PARIBAS

The French bank, euro zone's biggest, reported a fall in

first-quarter profit and revenue on Thursday but beat analyst

forecasts, as lower expenses and a strong performance in its

corporate banking business offset flat or falling revenues

elsewhere.

CARREFOUR

Supermarket giant Carrefour is spending more on price cuts

as it tries to win back market share, the company said on

Wednesday as it announced a slight dip in sales in its core

market of France.

CASINO

sales remained negative but showed a slight improvement as it

announced earlier the same day it would cut up to 3,267 jobs to

tackle its financial problems.

DASSAULT SYSTEMES

French software maker reported on Thursday a rise of 6% in

first-quarter revenue, supported by growth in its software

business, but the number came in slightly below analysts'

estimates.

MICHELIN

French tyre maker Michelin reported on Wednesday a 4.6%

decrease in sales, slightly below expectations, citing a decline

in volumes mainly in its truck and speciality tyres division due

to weaker demand.

PERNOD RICARD

French spirits group reported on Thursday

weaker-than-expected sales in the third quarter

, as its key Chinese and U.S. markets remained under strong

pressure.

SANOFI

The French drugmaker said on Thursday

first-quarter operating income declined 14.7%

as unfavourable currency effects and cheap competition to

multiple sclerosis drug Aubagio outweighed rising sales of

anti-inflammatory drug Dupixent.

STMICROELECTRONICS

VOLTALIA

French renewable power producer Voltalia on Wednesday

reported revenues at 111 million euros for the first quarter and

confirmed its 2024 objectives.

BELIEVE

French digital music company Believe on Wednesday confirmed

its organic growth target for 2024 as it posted revenues of

230.3 million euros in the first quarter.
