From HPCL to Idea Cellular: Here are top buzzing midcap stocks on June 18
Jun 18, 2018 3:59 AM

Here are some of the top buzzing midcap stocks picked by CNBC-TV18's analysts today.

Keep an eye on OMC's Like Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), metal stocks like Hindalco and NALCO and Idea Cellular.

Oil marketing companies are in focus because of the sharp decline in crude oil prices. Oil prices fell 3 percent on Friday nearly 2 percent down today. Brent prices are trading at a two-month lows while US crude is down a percentage point. Oil prices have come down by 10 percent from their May highs.

Metals prices have cooled down as well. The last week saw 2-4 percent of decline in the metal prices and today you have seen a follow through selling come in for this space.

Idea Cellular is also in focus as reports suggest that the Department of Telecommunication is likely to give a conditional nod to the Idea-Vodafone merger this week.
