Godrej Properties, Paytm, SBI, and more: Key stocks that moved the most on Friday

SUMMARY

Falling the second consecutive session, equity benchmark Sensex dropped over 140 points on Friday, tracking weakness in banking and energy stocks amid a mixed trend overseas. Investors also remained concerned over persistent foreign fund outflows. Paytm, SBI, Tata Steel, Godrej Properties were some of the key stocks that moved the most today.

Godrej Properties | Shares of the realty company slumped 10 percent on Friday after the company's consolidated net profit in the December quarter nearly tripled to Rs 38.95 crore while its sales bookings grew 4 percent to Rs 1,541 crore.

Tata Steel | Shares of the company surged almost 3 percent in intraday trade on Friday as the company is due to report its quarterly earnings for the October to December 2021 period later in the day.

State Bank of India | Shares of the bank hit a 52-week high on Friday, as investors awaited the country's largest lender by assets to report its quarterly financial results. On BSE, the SBI stock rose as much as 1.2 percent to Rs 546.4 - a 52-week high.

Paytm | Shares of One 97 Communications, Paytm's parent company gained over 1 percent on Friday ahead of its quarterly earnings later in the day. The company, whose shares are down 56 per cent against the IPO issue price, is due to hold its quarterly earnings call on February 5.
