08:31 AM EDT, 09/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Gold shares advanced in recent Monday pre-market activity as gold futures rose by 1.2% to $3,854.2 per ounce.

Newmont ( NEM ) shares were up 3.1%, while Agnico Eagle Mines ( AEM ) shares were 2.6% higher, and Wheaton Precious Metals ( WPM ) stock was up 2.4%.

Franco-Nevada ( FNV ) shares were also up 4.1%, while AngloGold Ashanti ( AU ) stock was 3% higher.
