The latest analysis and commentary by stock market gurus Mitessh Thakkar of mitesshthakkar.com, Prakash Gaba of prakashgaba.com, and Krish Subramanyam of Altamount Capital on what is moving the markets today. Check out their top stock recommendations.

They spoke at length about Aurobindo Pharma, Asian Paints, Tata Consultancy Services, GAIL, Power Finance Corporation, HCL Technologies.

Thakkar recommended buying Aurobindo Pharma and selling Asian Paints. He said, “I have one buy and one sell. Aurobindo Pharma is giving a good price and volume breakout. So buy with a stop at Rs 803 and look for Rs 850 as the target. Asian Paints is a sell with a stop at Rs 1,456 for targets of Rs 1,410.”

“Two stocks certainly look good to me. I like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). That certainly looks good. Target on the upside on TCS is in the vicinity of Rs 2,250, stop below Rs 2,200. I also happen to like GAIL. GAIL is showing some kind of momentum, target on the upside Rs 360, stop below Rs 345,” Gaba said.

Subramanyam said, “Recommending sell on Power Finance Corporation (PFC). That has seen some shorts getting built up in today’s trade. It could possibly go down to levels of Rs 109, but also suggests a stop loss of Rs 119. On the long side, HCL Technologies seems to be steadily getting momentum and could gain traction in the coming base and could be bought for a possible target of Rs 1,180 but also suggest a stop loss of Rs 1,125.”
