Indian equity benchmarks ended flat first time during this week on Thursday's trading session.

Sensex closed at 37,754.89 up by 2.72 points while Nifty closed at 11,343.30 up by 1.60 points. Around 1,216 shares advanced, 1,468 shares declined and 148 shares remained unchanged.

Sectors that saw buying yesterday were pharmaceuticals and metal sector while automobile and IT stocks witnessed selling pressure.
