Here’s a look at buzzing stocks for trade on January 11

The Indian market is likely to open higher Monday following gains in Asian peers amid positive global cues. At 7:55 am, the SGX Nifty was trading 51.50 points or 0.36 percent higher at 14,428.00, indicating a positive start for the Sensex and Nifty50.

Here are the top 10 buzzing stocks for today:

1. Tata Consultancy Services

: The IT major reported 7.2 percent rise in profit at Rs 8,701 crore against Rs 8,118 crore, revenue rose 4.7 percent to Rs 42,015 crore from Rs 40,135 crore QoQ.

2. Vedanta: The promoters of the company announced an open offer to acquire 37.2 crore equity shares, representing 10 percent equity stake in the company, at Rs 160 per share. The offer is made at a 12 percent discount to the Friday’s closing price.

3. Tata Steel: The company's India business production in Q3 increased 0.2 percent QoQ and 2.9 percent YoY to 4.6 mt, but deliveries fell 7.7 percent QoQ and were down 3.9 percent YoY to 4.66 mt.

4. HDFC Bank: ICICI Prudential Life held 1.23 percent stake in the company in the September quarter but its name did not appear in the December quarter shareholding.

5. Bharti Airtel: The company has announced the appointment of Pradipt Kapoor as its Chief Information Officer (CIO).

6. SAIL: The company’s crude steel output in Q3FY21 rose 9 percent to 4.37 million tonnes (MT) from 4 MT, YoY. Its total sales were up about 6 percent at 4.32 MT from 4.09 MT, YoY

7. Avenue Supermarts: The company reported a rise of 16.4 percent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 446.95 crore in Q3FY21 as against Rs 384.01 crore, YoY. Revenue from operations increased 10.77 percent to Rs 7,542 crore from Rs 6,808.93 crore, YoY.

8. Cipla: The company is recalling over 5.8 lakh packets of gastric ulcer treatment drug from the US market.

9. Union Bank of India: The bank has reduced Marginal Cost of Funds- based Lending rate (MCLR) by 15 basis points and 5 basis points in the overnight and 1 Month tenor, respectively. Overnight MCLR now stands at 6.60 percent, down from 6.75% and 1 Month MCLR now stands at 6.70 percent, down from 6.75 percent. Revised MCLR will be effective from Jan 11, 2021.

10. Prestige Estates Projects, DB Realty: DB Realty acquired a 49 percent equity stake and Prestige Estates Projects a 50 percent stake in Pandora Projects.
