08:21 AM EDT, 09/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US futures were higher in Thursday's premarket activity as tech stocks surged following Wednesday's 25-basis point rate cut by the Federal Reserve.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were up 0.6%, S&P 500 futures gained 0.8%, and Nasdaq futures rose 1.1%.
Oil prices were moving higher, with front-month global benchmarks Brent crude and West Texas Intermediate crude up 0.3% and 0.4% respectively.
The jobless claims report for the week ended Sept. 13 and Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index for September both will be released at 8:30 am ET.
