08:08 AM EST, 12/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- US equity futures were little changed pre-bell Tuesday as traders refrained from making big bets on the last trading day of 2024.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures, S&P 500 futures, and Nasdaq futures were up 0.2%.

US markets will be closed on Wednesday for the New Year holiday.

Oil prices were nearly flat, with front-month global benchmark North Sea Brent crude down 0.05% at $73.97 per barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude up 0.06% at $71.04 per barrel.

The Case-Shiller Home Price Index is due for release at 9 am ET.
