Choksey told cnbc-TV18 that Motherson Sumi would probably be a good company for the investment portfolio provided there is a secular upside in the auto space.
He also said Bharat Forge has always been good on its promises but their export business is going to be challenging. Therefore, one have to wait and watch as to how they start improving performance.
"Maybe I think take a calculated call little later at some point of time once the quarterly results for the Q4 and Q1 of the next financial comes out.”
Choksey said MRF should be relatively better off comparatively for the fact that the prices of both raw material as well as the end segment, the customer segment have remained relatively stable.
"In general I think they should be better off at least in the near time. Once the commercial vehicle starts reviving, probably we should be seeing better times going forward for tyre companies in general and companies like MRF in particular.”
When asked whether Zee Entertainment Enterprises is a buying opportunity, he said: “On fundamental front yes - I think I would think so. We need to learn a lot about how exactly the new investors are putting all the strategies put together and I think how the activates are likely to plan out on the priority front. Otherwise, I find the fundamentals are well in place, one should look into this company relatively more with confidence now.”
Speaking about white goods industry, Deven Choksey said, “I would think that probably the quarter January to March and in particular I think end March onwards the situation should be distinctly improving for some of these companies."
He added that many of these companies are likely to show relatively better spend and performance in the coming months.
