Investors Look Ahead to Powell's Remarks as US Futures Mostly Lower Tuesday Pre-Bell

08:18 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US stock futures are mostly lower in Tuesday's premarket session as investors look ahead to Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's opening remarks at the Integrated Review of the Capital Framework for Large Banks Conference in Washington, D.C.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 0.08%, S&P 500 futures were up 0.03%, and Nasdaq futures were moving 0.05% lower.

Oil prices were moving sharply lower, with front-month global benchmarks Brent crude and West Texas Intermediate crude falling 1.01% and 1.03% respectively.

In equities, share of INVO Fertility ( IVF ) jumped 57%, adding to a 0.85% increase on Monday. Medpace ( MEDP ) shares surged 44% after it reported Q2 earnings late Monday that topped analyst expectations, and raised its outlook for fiscal 2025. And Globavend's ( GVH ) stock surged 31%, adding to a 2% gain the previous session.

On the losing side shares of Agilysys ( AGYS ) tumbled 12% after it reported Q1 adjusted earnings late Monday that missed analyst forecasts. uniQure's (QURE) stock fell 8.6%, adding to a 3.3% loss on Monday. And shares of QuantumScape ( QS ) dropped 10%, adding to a 14% loss the previous session.
