China and the United States agreed to a ceasefire in their bitter trade war on Saturday after high-stakes talks in Argentina between US President DonaldTrump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, including no escalated tariffs on January 1.

Trump will leave tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports at 10 percent at the beginning of the new year, agreeing to not raise them to 25 percent "at this time", the White House said in a statement.

“We are looking at essentially 90-day pause and there is a lot of negotiations in it to take place and this morning in Asia, we are already seeing the reaction, especially in the oil sector,” said

Talking about outlook for India, he said, “I have been passionate about India for nearly 15 years and that doesn’t change from a long-term perspective but we are also coming into a period of some elections in India..."
