Sachin Shah, Fund Manager, Emkay Investment Managers, discusses with Surabhi Upadhyay and Ekta Batra, his analysis on the fundamental side of the market as well as specific stocks and sectors. He also answered viewer stock queries.
Market will be more like a wait and watch mode ahead of Karnataka elections, he said.
Shah said, "Q4 earnings so far are in-line with expectations and in some of the management commentaries what we observed was the rural demand and aggregate demand from that side is reviving back,"
Talking on information technology (IT) stocks, he said they were attractively valued 6 months back. Rupee depreciation helped IT stocks to take care of the headwinds in the sector.
"If an investor is expecting a 12-15% kind of a return, it is quite possible that if one invest in IT stocks at this point of time, there is a good probability of earning that kind of a returns," he added.
