08:01 AM EDT, 08/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- US equity futures were little changed Wednesday as traders looked ahead to a report on consumer inflation.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average futures slipped 0.1%, while S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq were both flat.
Oil prices were nearly flat, with front-month global benchmark North Sea Brent crude up less than 0.1% at $80.76 per barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude down less than 0.1% at $78.31 per barrel.
The consumer price index, slated for 8:30 am ET, is seen coming in at a 0.2% uptick for July following a 0.1% decline in June, according to estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
