Kotak MF focusing on quality stocks from financial space with no liquidity issues, says Harsha Upadhyaya

We believe positive sentiment is returning in the Indian market, said Harsha Upadhyaya, CIO-Equity at Kotak Mutual Fund in an interview to CNBC-TV18.

“The retail participation is at an all-time high; the institutional activity is not so high as compared to pre-COVID levels but retail activity has been strong,” he added.

We expect large-cap IT stocks to be resilient and outperform peers, said Upadhyaya.

He further said that we are focusing more on the quality stocks from financial space with no liquidity issues.

Speaking about telecom, Upadhyaya said, we continue to see higher usage for telecom data.

According to him, telecom will remain resilient in COVID times.
