Emerging market strategist Jonathan Schiessl is of the view that equity markets around the globe have taken the US elections in their stride.

He, in an interview with CNBC-TV18, said equity markets are looking through the short-term noise and are assuming that whoever gets in, "we are going to see another wave of stimulus to come".

He further added that investors should have a good weight in sectors that have done well during the COVID period like IT, pharma and some of the e-commerce related stocks.
