Indian markets had a very topsy-turvy week but very flat towards the end of it. For the week, Nifty ended 0.3 percent higher. However, the bank Nifty was the problem that it ended down 2 percent for the week. Midcap index continued its rally and ended the week with nearly 4 percent of gains. In terms of sectors, IT and pharma were the flavour of the week showing phenomenal moves on the up side.
