The market opened flat with a negative bias with the Sensex trading at 35,051 points and the NSE Nifty trading at 10,658 points due to weak global cues.

Wipro, BPCL, Bharti Infratel, among others are the top losers in the opening trade.
On the Asian front, Japan's Nikkei and Korea's Kospi are trading in the green while the SGX Nifty was trading at 10,674 levels versus the Nifty May Future close of 10,672 which indicated a flat opening for the Indian market.
Wall Street ended slightly lower on Thursday as investors grappled with US-China trade tensions after US President Donald Trump said that China "has become very spoiled on trade".
Volatility in the Indian market continued for the third session in a row on Thursday due to political uncertainty in Karnataka.
The Sensex closed 239 points lower at 35,149 after trading in a range of 422 points. The 50-stock Index, Nifty finished the session 58 points lower at 10,683.
On the earnings front, Bajaj Auto, Bhushan Steel, Ashok Leyland, Strides Shasun, Dalmia Bharat, among others, will declare their quarterly earnings today.
