Indian equity markets ended mixed on Wednesday as hopes of easing policy stance by the US Federal Reserve kept sentiment largely positive. The resumption of trade talks between Washington and Beijing also boosted sentiment. However, persisting concerns over liquidity situation in the non-banking financial space kept investors cautious.

Sensex: The 30-share benchmark Sensex settled 66.40 points higher, or 0.17 percent, at 39,112.74. So far this year, the BSE index has surged 8.44 percent, adding 3,044 points.
Nifty50: The broader 50-share NSE index ended in the red at 11,691.45, up by 0.05 points. So far this year, the Nifty has added over 828.90 points, rising 7.63 percent.
Key stocks
Tata Consultancy Services: The IT major settled 0.46 percent higher, closing at Rs 2,261.20 per share on NSE.
Reliance Industries: The oil-telecom-retail conglomerates' shares ended mildly up by 0.08 percent at close, settling at Rs 1,282 on NSE.
HDFC Bank: The private sector lenders' shares gained 0.75 percent in trade today, quoting at Rs 2,435.45 on NSE.
Hindustan Unilever: The FMCG major's stock closed at Rs 1,814.05 per share, marginally up by 0.25 percent at close on NSE.
HDFC: The HDFC group's NBFC stock settled at Rs 2,180.90, up by 1.30 percent.

Nifty Bank: The banking gauge settled with marginal gains at 30,362, up by 0.04 percent at close. So far this year, Nifty Bank has gained 11.79 percent.
Nifty IT: The IT index slipped 0.24 percent to settle at 16,282.70. So far this year, it has gained 12.76 percent.
Nifty FMCG: The consumer goods gauge settled flat, mildly up 0.02 percent at 29,585.40. So far this year, Nifty FMCG has lost 3.05 percent.
Nifty Auto: The index fell 1.11 percent to settle at 7772.20. So far this year, it has corrected by 15.84 percent.
Nifty Metal: The metal index gained 0.40 percent up to settle at 2886.30. So far this year, the index has lost 8.51 percent.
