In a special segment, “Midcap Mania”, CNBC-TV18's Nigel D’Souza spoke about some interesting findings on Hindustan Rectifiers.
Hindustan Rectifiers is a power equipment transportation devices manufacturer with a market capitalisation of around Rs 213 crore.
The BSE-listed firm, has corrected nearly 22-23% from the recent peak, but from the low, it has rallied close to around 70% odd.
The government is targeting production of around 600 electrical locomotives in the coming fiscal and this will require 600 transformers and that is what this company produces.
Also, the company from the last year to this year, has moved from development to the approved category, which makes them eligible for a higher amount of transformers.
Th cost of one transformer is roughly around Rs 85-90 lakh. If Hindustan Rectifiers gets an order 100 transformers, that can give the company good visibility going ahead.
