Wipro has underperformed both at the Nifty and IT index since it announced its $1.5 billion acquisition of Capco which is a global management and technology consultancy company.
The deal enables Wipro to graduate into the league of companies offering end-to-end consulting, digital, cloud, and IT transformation services. It also fortifies the company’s position in the BFSI vertical.
Although the segment is promising, it has well established technology players and breaking into a new account is not easy. The integration of this order also may not be easy.
