After being shut for almost seven months, Mumbai's single metro line resumed operations on October 19.

The 11.4 km metro line between Versova and Ghatkopar will initially operate from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm. It will make 200 trips in either direction at a gap of eight minutes.
The Metro has restricted the number of commuters to 360 per trip and the use of masks and maintaining social distancing is mandatory.
All passengers need to undergo thermal screening at entry gates. CNBC-TV18's Yash Jain rode the Mumbai Metro on day one to get a feel of the new normal.
