Effective today, there are a couple of changes in the Nifty 50. Nestle has come back into the Nifty 50 for the first time since 2003. Indiabulls Housing Finance has however made its way out.

Today both the stocks are under some pressure, trading in the red, but that is the market sentiment. In the last one month or so, from the time NSE announced these changes, Nestle has been a big outperformer and that is up 11 percent, while Indiabulls Housing Finance has taken a hit and is down close to around 10 percent.
In terms of weightage, Nestle has a weight of more than a percent on the Nifty 50 effective today and in terms of free-float market capitalization, Nestle is nearly around Rs 50,000 crore. So, Nestle is in 24th position in terms of weightage on the index.
