PPFAS MF expects Zydus Wellness to expand Heinz brands
Oct 24, 2018 10:36 AM

Zydus Wellness will take advantage of the distribution networks of all Heinz brands and expand the portfolio said Raunak Onkar, co-fund manager (equities) & head research, PPFAS Mutual Fund.

Gujarat-based Zydus Cadila group on Wednesday acquired the consumer brand business of Kraft Heinz in India — including children’s energy drink brand Complan — for Rs 4,595 crore.

On the rationale for owning Bajaj Finance through its holding company, Onkar said that anyone can buy it at discount from the underlying price and get to participate in the growth opportunities of group entities. Therefore, the house does not hold Bajaj Finance directly as an equity, he said.

From the FANG space, the company only has Facebook and Alphabet, he said, adding that the house had earlier owned Apple but never owned Amazon or Netflix because they have no idea of how to value them.
