Khemani remains positive on the entire telecom sector. “If you are patient and have slightly long-term perspective, I think Bharti would have a lot of legs because industry is consolidated and we all use more data and more communication,” he said in an interview with CNBC-TV18.

On Larsen & Toubro, he said, “We are quite positive on the stock, this quarterly number per se does not change any view. This quarterly number, whether positive or negative, should be looked at with careful approach. One should be focused directionally about what is happening in the industry and in the company.”

Khemani likes auto space, both two-wheelers and four-wheelers. “Two-wheeler in the shorter-term, in the next couple of quarters, can probably outpace the demand growth,” he mentioned.

On pharma space, he said, “It is a three-five-year change both on the domestic as well as on the international front. We will be surprised how many pharma companies can double or multiply from here, don’t look at it in a very short-term trend.”

“Whenever any sector does well, there is a sharp rally and there is a consolidation which happens, which is happening right now in sectors like pharmaceutical, IT and it might happen at the overall market level,” he stated.
