RE/MAX Reports August Home Sales Fell 5.5% From July

05:28 PM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- RE/MAX Holdings ( RMAX ) said that US home sales in August fell 5.5% from July and dropped 1.6% from a year earlier.

New listings declined 9.2% from July and dropped 5.9% from a year earlier, the company said Tuesday in a statement.

The median sales price at $448,000 fell 0.6% from July, while gaining 1.9% from a year earlier.

The number of homes for sale declined 0.4% from July, while increasing 24% from a year earlier.
