The rupee fell to its lowest ever against the US dollar on Thursday.

Most other Asian currencies also edged down as a trade spat between the United States and China kept investors on edge due to its potential spillover effect.

Here is how various other currencies performed in 2018, so far.
In 2018, the rupee depreciated 8.2 percent year-to-date (YTD) from the levels of 63.84 percent. Turkish Lira has seen maximum depreciation this year with the rate standing at 21.8 percent while Mexican Peso depreciated 2.6 percent, the least.

Brazilian Real stands at number 2 with the rate of depreciation being 16.6 percent followed by South African Rand depreciating 11.9 percent.
Among others, Philippine Peso, Indonesian Rupiah and Russian Ruble depreciated 2.37 percent, 5.35 percent and 9.49 percent respectively.
On August 28, 2013, rupee hit a record low of 68.82, but gained marginally. Again in November 24, 2016, it fell to 68.86.
Since June 2017, rupee has depreciated 7.16 percent from levels of 64.48. It fell 8.46 percent in the past three years.
For the past five years it fell around 15 percent.
