In corporate news, Paramount Global ( PARAA ) was asked by activist investor Barington Capital to end exclusive talks with David Ellison and consider rival offers, including one from Apollo Global Management ( APO ) , Bloomberg reported Friday. Paramount shares fell 2.8% and Apollo declined 3.1%.
