In corporate news, AMC Entertainment ( AMC ) shares jumped 13% after the firm reported Monday its highest combined global admissions and food and beverage revenue ever for the Easter holiday frame, with more than 6 million guests attending its US theaters and international Odeon cinema locations between April 1 and April 5.
McDonald's (MCD) is likely set-up for same-store sales growth upside this year, buoyed by its value strategy and an upcoming beverage platform, Oppenheimer said in a note. McDonald's shares rose 0.7%.
