09:05 AM EDT, 06/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were declining pre-bell Friday as the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) and Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) were down 0.4% recently.

RH (RH) was down more than 14% after reporting late Thursday that it swung to a Q1 adjusted loss as revenue declined during the period.

Stock influencer Keith Gill, known online as Roaring Kitty, said in an update on Reddit that he now owns 9 million shares of GameStop ( GME ) , up from 5 million earlier in the week. GameStop ( GME ) was up around 1% premarket.

Light & Wonder ( LNW ) was 0.3% higher after saying its board approved a new three-year program for the repurchase of up to $1 billion in outstanding common shares.
