Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Decline Premarket Monday

09:10 AM EST, 12/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were declining premarket Monday, with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) and Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) down 0.1%.

Unilever ( UL ) spin-off The Magnum Ice Cream Co. said its shares will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday under the ticker "MICC." Unilever ( UL ) shares were down more than 6% pre-bell.

Carvana ( CVNA ) shares were up more than 7% after the company was added to the S&P 500 index late Friday.

51Talk Online Education ( COE ) shares were 0.6% lower after the company said it has authorized a new $10 million share repurchase program.
