In corporate news, United Airlines (UAL) shares jumped past 12%. The company reported Q3 adjusted earnings late Tuesday that beat market expectations as sales increased from a year ago. The carrier also unveiled a repurchase program of up to $1.5 billion.
Container Store ( TCS ) shares surged past 16% after it said late Tuesday that Beyond (BYON) agreed to invest $40 million in the company. Beyond shares were down 0.2%.
Hasbro ( HAS ) is close to a decision to move its headquarters to Boston from across the Massachusetts state line in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the Boston Globe reported. Hasbro ( HAS ) shares rose 0.3%.
