In corporate news, Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) has rejected Paramount Skydance's ( PSKY ) initial roughly $20 per share takeover offer, Bloomberg reported over the weekend. Warner Bros. shares climbed 4.6%, and Paramount Skydance ( PSKY ) was up 0.8%.
Tesla's (TSLA) factory in Shanghai began ramping up production in Q4, Reuters reported Monday, citing a Weibo post by company vice president Tao Lin. Tesla shares rose 3.7%.
Beyond Meat ( BYND ) shares tumbled 47%. The company said tender results showed 96.92% of its notes holders accepted its exchange offer that included the issuance of new shares.
Amazon.com ( AMZN ) shares added 1.7%. The company said it is hiring 250,000 workers for its fulfillment and transportation network in the US this holiday season.
