In corporate news, Estee Lauder ( EL ) shares climbed 5.9% after Goldman Sachs upgraded the cosmetics company's stock to buy from neutral and raised its price target to $115 from $76.
Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) has rejected Paramount Skydance's ( PSKY ) initial roughly $20 per share takeover offer, Bloomberg reported over the weekend. Warner Bros. shares climbed 3.6%, and Paramount Skydance ( PSKY ) was up 0.7%.
Tesla's (TSLA) factory in Shanghai began ramping up production in Q4, Reuters reported Monday, citing a Weibo post by company vice president Tao Lin. Tesla shares rose 5%.
Beyond Meat ( BYND ) shares tumbled 48%. The company said tender results showed 96.92% of its notes holders accepted its exchange offer that included the issuance of new shares.
