Sector Update: Consumer Stocks Mixed Pre-Bell Wednesday

09:06 AM EST, 03/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Wednesday, with The Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLP ) down 0.3% and The Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLY ) 0.2% higher.

Albertsons ( ACI ) will replace Aspen Technology ( AZPN ) in the S&P MidCap 400 index before trading opens on March 11, S&P Dow Jones Indices said. Albertsons ( ACI ) shares were up past 3% premarket.

Abercrombie & Fitch ( ANF ) stock was more than 9% lower after the company issued fiscal Q1 earnings outlook that trailed analysts' expectations.

Campbell's (CPB) shares were down past 6% after the company reported a decline in fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings and lowered its fiscal 2025 guidance.
