08:48 AM EDT, 03/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were advancing premarket Thursday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) recently gaining 0.5%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 1% higher and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 0.8%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.95% to $80.48 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea crude oil gained 0.71% to $84.63 per barrel, and the natural gas futures were 0.42% lower to $1.65 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Kinetik Holdings ( KNTK ) dropped more than 4% after saying that Apache unit Apache Midstream has launched a secondary offering of about 11.4 million class A Kinetik ( KNTK ) shares.
