09:05 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were gaining premarket Tuesday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) was up 0.2% recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.2% higher and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 0.6%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.2% at $82.07 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil was up nearly 0.1% at $86.13 per barrel. Natural gas futures were also down nearly 0.1% at $1.788 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Matador Resources ( MTDR ) was nearly 3% lower after it priced an offering of about 5.3 million common shares for gross proceeds of about $347.3 million.
