The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.3% lower, and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 1.6%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude was down 0.3% at $83.12 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark Brent lost 0.2% to $88.29 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 0.6% at $1.80 per 1 million BTU.
Baker Hughes ( BKR ) was down 0.5% even after the company reported higher Q1 financial results.
