09:10 AM EDT, 04/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were edging lower premarket Tuesday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) down 0.04% recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.1% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 0.3%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.4% at $82.96 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.3% to $87.49 per barrel. Natural gas futures were up 0.7% at $2.044 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
CVR Energy ( CVI ) was down 0.4% after it reported lower Q1 adjusted earnings and net sales.
