08:55 AM EDT, 05/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were leaning lower premarket Wednesday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) recently down 0.3%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 1.1% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was down 2.4%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 1.2% at $80.91 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea crude oil lost 1.1% to $85.36 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 3.2% at $1.93 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
EnLink Midstream ( ENLC ) fell by more than 3% after it reported lower Q1 earnings and revenue.
