The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.6% higher, and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 0.9%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.7% at $79.56 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark Brent gained 0.7% to $84.14 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 0.8% at $2.21 per 1 million BTU.
Scorpio Tankers ( SBBA ) was up 0.1% after it reported higher Q1 adjusted net income and revenue.
