09:06 AM EDT, 07/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were edging higher premarket Wednesday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) up 0.1% recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.8% higher and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 1%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.9% at $81.41 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.6% to $84.27 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 1.5% at $2.16 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Bloom Energy ( BE ) was up over 8% after saying it will install proprietary fuel cells to generate on-site power for CoreWeave as part of their partnership.
