08:59 AM EST, 12/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Monday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) declined slightly recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 0.5% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 4.8% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 1.5% higher at $69 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 1.3% to $72.78 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 5.5% at $3.18 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
BW LPG ( BWLP ) shares were down more than 1% after the company reported a decline in Q3 earnings.
