The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.6% higher and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 0.5%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.7% at $71.07 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 0.6% to reach $74.74 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 0.2% at $3.40 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Centrus Energy ( LEU ) shares were up 12% pre-bell Friday after the company overnight posted Q4 adjusted earnings and revenue that topped analyst expectations.
