09:04 AM EDT, 03/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks advanced pre-bell Tuesday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) recently up 0.6%.

The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 1.1% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 1.8% higher.

Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 1.0% at $66.70 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 1.0% to $70.00 per barrel. Natural gas futures were 0.7% higher at $4.524 per 1 million British Thermal Units.

HighPeak Energy Inc ( HPK ) shares fell nearly 6% after the company reported lower Q4 net income and operating revenue that also missed analysts' expectations.
