09:01 AM EDT, 04/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks leaned lower premarket Wednesday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) fell by 1.4% recently.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 1.1% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 0.6% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 1.5% at $59.56 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 1.5% to $63.30 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 1.1% lower at $3.35 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
TotalEnergies (TTE) shares were down more than 1% after the company reported lower Q1 adjusted earnings and revenue.
