01:15 PM EDT, 06/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were higher Tuesday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index rising 1.3% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) adding 1.6%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector index climbed 4.4%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities index was up 0.4%.
Front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil was rising 1.8% to $63.63 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract was advancing 1.8% to $65.80 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures were 0.6% higher at $3.72 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, Constellation Energy ( CEG ) and Meta (META) have signed a 20-year agreement for the output from the Clinton Clean Energy Center in Illinois to support Meta's operations in the region with 1,121 megawatts of nuclear energy. Constellation shares added 1.3%.
