01:38 PM EDT, 06/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were higher Tuesday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) each rising about 2.2%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector index climbed 3.7%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities index was 0.1% higher.
Front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 0.1% at $65.35 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract was advancing 0.2% to $67.20 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures were 2.6% lower at $3.54 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, Marathon Petroleum ( MPC ) shares popped 2.3% after TD Cowen raised its price target to $163 from $152.
